Options IT Acquires Colo Business From BNP Paribas

Options IT, a supplier of high-performance technology infrastructure to hedge funds and brokerages, has purchased the hosted colocation business from the prime brokerage division of BNP Paribas. Terms were not disclosed.

According to Options IT, a number of BNP Paribas hedge fund clients will have their technology infrastructure provided through Options IT's Core service. This hosted infrastructure works globally and eliminates costs associated with building and maintaining similar infrastructure internally.

All clients will continue to be BNP Paribas prime brokerage clients and will remain on their prime brokerage computing platform.

As part of the deal, Options IT acquired regional data centers in California, Texas and New Jersey.
