JP Morgan Chase & Co. veteran John Carillo has joined agency brokerage Investment Technology Group (ITG) as head of U.S. portfolio trading. Carillo, who since 2002 was a senior sales trader in JP Morgan's securities division, will be responsible for offering strategic counsel, executing U.S. clients' portfolios and marketing ITG's portfolio trading services. Previously a senior sales trader at Merrill Lynch & Co. and trader for Prudential Securities and PaineWebber, Carillo brings experience that will allow ITG to "offer an enhanced high-touch portfolio trading service," said managing director Chris Heckman.
The International Securities Exchange has named to its board Michael Juneman, head of U.S. options exchanges at Citadel Derivatives Group. Juneman, who will represent the exchange's primary market makers, joined Citadel in 2005 from Timber Hill, a market-making affiliate of Interactive Brokers, where he worked nine years and rose to VP of U.S. exchange operations. A former trader at the Chicago Board Options Exchange, Juneman served on the Philadelphia Stock Exchange's board from 2005 to 2008.
