BATS Exchange said Friday it planned to introduce a new line of subscription market data reports.

The Kansas City-based electronic marketplace developer and operator said its first product, BATS Last Sale Feed, will be introduced in the second quarter of this year, pending regulatory approval.

BATS Last Sale Feed will provide users real-time, intraday trade information including price, volume and time for orders executed on the BATS Exchange platform. The feed will exclude quote information.

BATS  “core real-time data offerings”  will continue to be free to members and market data recipients, said Joe Ratterman, CEO of BATS Global Markets and BATS Exchange.

The new line of “ supplemental data products” is in response to demand from members and market data recipients for more insight into the BATS market, Ratterman said.
