Nasdaq OMX Group will become the primary electronic provider of real-time values for all U.S. and global indices published by Russell Investments, the two companies said Tuesday.

The values will be incorporated into a new data service to be called RussellTick. Subscribers to the serivce will get access to the U.S. small-cap Russell 2000 Index and the broader Russell 3000 Index as well as all other Russell indices, domestically and worldwide.

The RussellTick expands on an arrangement announced in December, where Nasdaq OMX began to disseminate real-time values for global Russell indexes, but not domestic.

The RussellTick service will start on June 1.

"RussellTick will consolidate all of Russell's intra-day index information for the first time into one data source," said Sara Wilson, regional director for third-party index partners at Russell Investments.
