EXECUTIVE KALEIDOSCOPE: Merrill Lynch, NYSE Make Moves

Bank of America Merrill Lynch has named Simon Lucocq as head of technology and operations in the Asia Pacific region. NYSE Euronext appointed Demetria O’Sullivan the Chief Risk at NYSE Clearing in London.

BANK OF AMERICA MERRILL LYNCH: To bolster technological capabilities and enhance business services it offers, Bank of America Merrill Lynch has named Simon Lucocq as head of technology and operations in the Asia Pacific region.

Lucocq, who will based in Hong Kong, previously served as global chief information officer for Nomura Holdings. He will report to Bill Pappas, CIO for Global Wholesale Banking, and will serve on the Asia Pacific executive committee.

NYSE EURONEXT: The operator of the New York Stock Exchange has announced the appointment of Demetria O’Sullivan as Chief Risk Officer of its new full-service derivatives Clearing House in London, NYSE Clearing.

NYSE Clearing intends to launch a revamped technical platform in June 2013 to expand its existing clearing business. Ms O’Sullivan joins NYSE Euronext in December 2012, having worked most recently at Citigroup, where she was Global Head of Risk for Futures and OTC Clearing.
