FINRA Names Randich its Chief Information Officer

Steven J. Randich has been named chief information officer at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
Randich is currently co-chief information officer at Citigroup. He also is Global Head of Technology for Citigroup’s Institutional Clients Group.
He is former executive vice president, operations and technology and chief information officer at the Nasdaq Stock Market. In addition, Steve served as executive vice president and chief information officer for the Chicago Stock Exchange from 1996 through 2000.

Randich
He will oversee technology at FINRA, as well as FINRA's Registration and Disclosure division.
At FINRA, he will oversee the rollout of a new platform for conducting examinations, enhancements to FINRA’s BrokerCheck system and development of FINRA’s response to the securities industry’s request for proposals that was issued this week for building and operating a consolidated audit trail of all stock and options quotes, orders and trade details.
Randich succeeds Steve Joachim, who has been the interim head of information systems, since the departure of Sam Gaer in May 2012.
Randich starts March 11. He reports to chief executive Richard Ketchum.
