Hudson Fiber to Activate Services on Spread Networks Route

Hudson Fiber Network is set to activate and sell its full suite of optical services on Spread Networks’ high-speed optical network between Carteret and Secaucus, New Jersey, the two companies announced Monday.

Under the pact, Hudson Fiber Network will offer bandwidth ranging from 1 gigabit a second to 10 gigabits a second. Hudson, which operates its own high-speed optical network for financial customers in the New York area, will also offer passive wavelength services on Spread Networks’ route between Carteret and Secaucus.

“This agreement provides customers the flexibility they need to grow their networks, while leveraging Spread’s industry-leading metropolitan dark fiber access to the top exchanges,” said Brett Diamond, President of Hudson Fiber Network.

In addition to its metropolitan dark fiber, Spread Networks’ flagship dark fiber Nntwork connects New York and Chicago in under 13.33 milliseconds roundtrip.

Spread Networks also offers a a high-speed Ethernet wave service between Chicago and New Jersey.
