Nasdaq OMX Group said it will provide risk management to KDPW-CCP, Poland's primary securities clearing house.

The exchange operator and technology developer  will supply KDPW-CCP with its Sentinel Risk Manager product for clearing of over-the-counter contracts.

Sentinel Risk Manager is part of Nasdaq OMX's clearing product lineup for listed and over-the-counter derivatives, such as futures, options and credit default swaps.

The Nasdaq pricing model allows customers to license the particular functions they need, while keeping existing risk management software in place.

"It was important to select a solution that easily integrates with KDPW's legacy CCP infrastructure and provides the connectivity and information required by our clearing members,’’ said Iwona Sroka, President and CEO of KDPW-CCP

Sentinel Risk Manager is compliant with pending European and U.S. legislation for over-the-counter clearing.

The product is in use at both Nasdaq OMX's Nordic clearing house and the International Derivatives Clearing Group in the U.S.
