The largest alternative equities venue in Japan has adopted Nasdaq OMX trading technology.
SBI Japannext, which handles about 4% of the nation’s trading in stocks, has launched an X-stream INET trading system from Nasdaq.
The system provides microsecond handling of orders and transactions.
The system is deployed in 22 markets, worldwide and is capable of handling trades in equities, commodities, debt, exchange-tradef udns, futures, options, swaps and derivatives.
In September 2011, SBI Japannext first went live with an earlier version of Nasdaq OMX X-Stream technology.
