SunGard Acquires Corporate Actions Processor

SunGard Data Systems has acquired XcitekSolutionsPlus, a supplier of software for automating the processing of notices about mergers, dividends and other corporate actions.
The acquisition was completed December 21, according to XSP, and announced Monday by SunGard.
Terms were not disclosed.
XSP offers software and services that acquire corporate actions notices, clean them up, respond and process them.
XSP becomes part of SunGard’s capital markets business. XSP’s chief executive, Brendan P. Farrell, Jr., will report to John Grimaldi, head of the North American securities business for SunGard.
“Becoming part of SunGard will help us grow our global footprint and further enhance the breadth of our offering,” said Farrell.
